Attendees at this year’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in the Magic Kingdom will be able to pick up a special event-exclusive Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom card featuring the Florida Orange Bird.
The Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom card game is an in-park interactive quest that allows guests of all ages to join Merlin in his mission to stop Disney Villains from taking over the park. Guests use a map to search for villain hideouts throughout the park and visit magic portals where they use spell cards to fight back against a villain’s plan.
When you pick up your special-event Orange Bird card, you’ll notice that the spell it features is “Orange Bird’s Juice-o-Lanterns.” The storyline behind the card is that when Merlin met the Orange Bird during a walk through Adventureland, the wizard was so taken with the little bird that he created a brand new spell in its honor. On the new spell card, Orange Bird celebrates Halloween by drawing funny faces on the oranges that grow near the Sunshine Tree, turning them into “Juice-o-Lanterns.”
To play the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom game, stop at the Firehouse on Main Street, U.S.A. The cast members there will set you up with everything you need to get started. You must register to play with your party ticket and event wristband in order to get this special event card, which will be distributed separately (and in addition to) the regular Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom card packs. (You can see a complete list of all Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom cards HERE.)
