Star Wars: Galactic Nights Returns May 27!

Tickets are now on sale for Star Wars: Galactic Nights, a one-night special event that will return to Disney's Hollywood Studios on May 27. The event is held after park hours from 7 p.m. to midnight and celebrates the entire Star Wars saga with special entertainment, photo opportunities, event-exclusive merchandise and food and beverage, as well as encounters with rarely seen Star Wars characters. Other event offerings include Galactic Destinations Projections on The Hollywood Tower Hotel and the debut of new saga elements to the Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular fireworks and the Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away stage show. Tickets cost $129 per adult, $124 per child ages 3-9. Discounts on tickets are available for Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members. In addition, the Galactic Tasting and Viewing Package, featuring Star Wars-inspired food and beverage and reserved seating to a panel providing an inside look of the making of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, is now available for $30 per person, including tax. 125,000 Disney Employees to Receive $1,000 Cash Bonus

Today, Robert A. Iger, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, The Walt Disney Company, announced that more than 125,000 eligible employees will receive a one-time $1,000 cash bonus. The Company will also make an initial investment of $50 million in a new and ongoing education program specifically designed to cover tuition costs for hourly employees. The two new initiatives represent a total allocation of more than $175 million in this fiscal year. All full and part-time non-executive employees, either hourly or salaried, who have been with The Walt Disney Company since January 1, 2018, and are based in the United States will be paid a one-time $1,000 cash bonus. Employees will receive the bonus in two payments, the first in March and the second in September of this year. In keeping with applicable federal law, the Company will work with union representatives regarding potential distribution plans for employees currently working under existing union contracts.

The Walt Disney Family Museum Presents Make Believe: The World of Glen Keane

The Walt Disney Family Museum's newest original exhibition, Make Believe: The World of Glen Keane, showcasing the work of this critical Disney animator and artist, opens on March 8 in the museum's Theater Gallery and will be on view through September 3, 2018. Keane's dynamic artistic talent brought to life some of the most unforgettable characters of our time, from the imposing Beast and fearless Tarzan, to the daring heroines Ariel, Pocahontas, and Rapunzel. The exhibition was curated by Glen Keane in partnership with Michael Labrie, the museum's Director of Collections and Exhibitions.
