Toy Story 4 Announced

Nearly two decades after Pixar Animation Studios created the world's first computer-animated feature film with "Toy Story," it revealed plans for Disney-Pixar's "Toy Story 4," an adventure that returns audiences to the world of the studio's signature characters.

John Lasseter, director of the original "Toy Story" and "Toy Story 2," will direct the film, which opens a new chapter in the lives of Woody, Buzz Lightyear and the "Toy Story" gang. The story was dreamt up by Lasseter, Andrew Stanton, Pete Docter and Lee Unkrich, the storytellers who have been the driving force behind all three "Toy Story" films.

"We love these characters so much; they are like family to us," said Lasseter. "We don't want to do anything with them unless it lives up to or surpasses what's gone before. 'Toy Story 3' ended Woody and Buzz's story with Andy so perfectly that for a long time, we never even talked about doing another 'Toy Story' movie. But when Andrew, Pete, Lee and I came up with this new idea, I just could not stop thinking about it. It was so exciting to me, I knew we had to make this movie-and I wanted to direct it myself."

Writing team Rashida Jones and Will McCormack ("Celeste and Jesse Forever") joined the project, and Pixar veteran Galyn Susman (ABC's "Toy Story OF TERROR!" and "Toy Story that Time Forgot") is producing.

The film is slated for release on June 16, 2017.

2015 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival News!

Fresh Flavors, Gardens, Music and Fun on Tap March 4-May 17, 2015 at 22nd Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. - Spring 2015 will bloom with a fresh take on lush gardens, inspired flavors and lively entertainment during the 75-day Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival March 4-May 17 at Walt Disney World Resort. New Disney character topiaries, including a nod to the blockbuster animated film, "Frozen," will offer colorful selfie and family photo ops. Outdoor Kitchens will serve a fresh take on sweet and savory noshes. And guests can get "hands-on" with festival fun during Disney-led gardening seminars.

"Frozen" will melt hearts in the park's World Showcase:
Disney's first Anna and Elsa topiaries will appear in a scene from the Oscar-winning film's finale. Other brand-new Disney character topiaries will be Chip and Dale taking a star turn in two whimsical front-entrance "Goofy About Spring" floral vignettes. Topiary Goofy and friends will be in on the fun.

Fresh new menu items will debut at the festival's Outdoor Kitchens where, for the third festival year running, guests can taste garden- and spring-inspired tapas-sized food and beverages and have their complimentary Garden Passports stamped as they stroll the World Showcase promenade.

A Southwest desert garden will premiere as a thriving ecosystem.

Ten new mini-gardens will surprise guests around every corner. Guests will discover a new "health garden," a pepper garden, a dinosaur-plant garden and a Shakespeare garden, among others, each designed with a storytelling element.

Guests can discover the story of the Monarch butterfly's epic journey across the continent and see butterflies emerge from their chrysalises at Tinker Bell's Butterfly House.

A weekend concert series will rock audiences every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Performers will include Gin Blossoms, Pablo Cruise, Village People and a lineup of top bands representing four decades of pop music.

Disney gardeners will lead weekend how-to Gardening Seminars at the Festival Center, where guests also can pick up signature festival merchandise.

When the sun sets, illuminated topiary and play gardens will glow brightly for an after-dark festival experience.

"This is one of our most ambitious festivals ever," says Eric Darden, festival horticulture manager. "We're telling stories we've never told before. You'll get a fresh taste of spring - it'll be like the first spring farmer's market for America."

As park guests nibble on inspired Outdoor Kitchen goodies, they can wander among multiple themed gardens and children's play areas. Nearly 100 expertly crafted topiary characters, including Snow White, Bambi, Mickey Mouse, Simba and Peter Pan, will animate the landscape when Epcot transforms to a vibrant wonderland of sweeping garden beds and exhibits.

The "Frozen" topiary vignette at World Showcase Plaza will pop with color as Anna's and Elsa's icy world, illustrated with white and silver blooms of delphinium, alyssum and other floral varieties, transforms to a brilliant spring palette featuring Gerbera daisies, petunias, Sweet William and other flora.

A Health Garden near The Land pavilion in Future World will display ancient medicinal plants including garlic, aloe, chamomile, fennel, mint and others. Plants used to develop modern prescriptions will be papaya, periwinkle, turmeric, yew, thyme and valerian. And the new Shakespeare Garden at the United Kingdom pavilion will feature roses to represent Romeo and Juliet: "What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet." Also in the garden: rosemary from Hamlet, lavender from The Winter's Tale, plus representations featuring poppy, lily, honeysuckle and willow.

Tinker Bell's Butterfly House will return with hundreds of winged beauties fluttering above and lighting upon their favorite nectar-producing plants. Dozens of Disney-crafted "flower towers" and beds of multi-colored blooms will add to the floral splendor of the park's landscape. At least 70,000 bedding plants will surround the Future World east and west lakes alone; on the water, 220 mini-gardens will be set afloat.

Several special weekend happenings will include Art in the Garden Weekend (March 27-29); Florida Fresh Weekend (April 24-26); and Florida Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc. Weekend (May 8-10).

For more information about the 22nd Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, call 407/W-DISNEY (934-7639). As the festival nears, more details will be available at epcotinspring.com. The festival, including all gardening programs and exhibits, is included in regular Epcot admission.

Tranquilo Golf Club Now Open - Florida Resident Special

Tranquilo Golf Club Now Open at Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort

The 18-hole Tom Fazio-designed golf course includes a spacious clubhouse, Plancha restaurant, and golf shop.

The long-anticipated Tranquilo Golf Club at Four Seasons Resort Orlando has officially opened, enabling resort guests and locals the opportunity to play on the stunning 18-hole championship course. Unique to Central Florida for its varying elevation, abundant wildlife and protected wetlands, the name Tranquilo pays homage to the resort's Spanish Revival design and tranquil setting, featuring many Southern Live Oak trees with delicate Spanish moss.

Special for Florida residents From now through the end of the year,12/31/14, between the hours of 8 am to 4 pm, a special rate of USD 99.00 per player is offered for a round of 18 holes, based on tee time availability. This fee includes the greens fee, cart fee and practice balls before the round. Rental clubs are available for USD 75.00 and shoes are available for USD 20.00. To reserve the Florida resident special, tee times must be scheduled by phone only, at 407-313-6880. Some black out dates may apply. A valid Florida state driver's license is required to be presented for the special rate.

Course Design
Originally built in 1992 and designed by Tom Fazio as Disney's Osprey Ridge, Fazio re-designed the course for its launch as Tranquilo Golf Club. Enhancements included creating a completely new hole and renovated bunkers, plus improved visibility and airflow by enhancing the landscape design, in addition to a fully renovated clubhouse. The course is a Par 71, with a yardage of 6,901 and four sets of tees to accommodate all skill levels.

"I am very proud of the transformation of the Tranquilo Golf Club golf course. Since the course opened over 20 years ago, it has been considered among the best courses in the region, and the recent upgrades and improvements to the course will surely solidify that reputation for many years to come," said Tom Fazio of Fazio Golf Design.

Charlie Kent, director of golf for Tranquilo Golf Club and a member of the PGA of America since 1993, brings more than 25 years' experience in golf course management. He notes, "The Osprey Ridge course was so well-regarded by golfers for many years. We are very proud of the renovation work and enhancements the Fazio team completed and we're confident golfers who were fond of the former layout will truly be able to connect with the course once again."

The course is certified by the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary program for golf by the National Audubon Society, and just received its re-certification this past September under the leadership of Rusty Wilson, golf course superintendent and Golf Course Superintendents Association of America member. The addition of native plants and trees, as well as the creation of naturalized areas on the golf course to provide water and food for local and migratory wildlife, was a key factor in the course's certification.

As part of the enhancements, all of the greens were resurfaced with Tiff Eagle Bermuda grass, in addition to improvements to drainage in many key areas of the course. To accommodate the development of Four Seasons Resort Orlando, Fazio created a new par three 16th hole, which Kent describes as one of the signature holes. This beautiful spot on the course is framed by Southern Live Oak trees and a natural sand area that runs from the tee area to the green. Measuring 163 yards from the back tee, it presents a scoring opportunity for the golfer, as Kent notes golfers will be more challenged by the 17th and 18th finishing holes. The 18th hole, a finishing Par 3, offers 217 yards fronted by a large bunker and a pond to the left. With the stunning backdrop of Four Seasons Resort Orlando in the distance, this hole presents a memorable completion to the round.

Tranquilo Golf Club Highlights
The course is available for individual tee times, available up to 60 days in advance for registered resort guests, and is open to the public for tee times 30 days in advance. Guests of Tranquilo can enjoy the full-service clubhouse, featuring locker rooms, and a Golf Shop featuring a variety of retail offerings. From a full line of logo wear and accessories, ranging from hats to jackets and even leather logo iPad cases, the Golf Shop is open daily from 7 am to 6 pm. Complimentary shoe shine and bag storage is also available at the clubhouse.

Tranquilo offers custom Four Seasons golf carts that include a state-of-the-art GPS navigation system with two-way communication, a ball washer, and coolers stocked with bottled water.

Family play is encouraged, and the course offers special golf carts that accommodate a family of four. In addition, children 12 and younger play free with an adult, and children ages 13-18 golf at half price.

Plancha is the Cuban American restaurant located at the golf clubhouse. Helmed by Chef Pedro Sanchez Negron, who brings 16 years' experience and a strong background in Latin/ Caribbean/Spanish cuisine, Plancha offers a true delight for the culinary senses. The flavorful menu includes dishes such as empanadas, a smoked bacon and black bean soup, "La Plancha" burger with chorizo, maduro and smoked gouda cheese, "El Cubano" sandwich, churrasco flat iron steak, marinated chicken, and much more. Dessert is not to be missed at Plancha, with specialties such as the "Tres Leches" with coconut; traditional flan; and the coconut banana torta.

Frank Reilly, restaurant manager, brings nine years of food and beverage management experience to Plancha, which is open daily from 10 am to 6 pm. Plancha features a full bar plus a cigar bar, with an expansive lakeside terrace and outdoor smoking lounge area perfect to enjoy an "après golf" cigar. The Plancha Cigar is a custom hand-rolled cigar made exclusively for Tranquilo Golf Club. Currently, two custom Plancha Cigars are available: shade grown and sun grown, offered in five different sizes. Additional cigars from Davidoff, Padron and Romeo Y Julieta are also offered in the Plancha humidor.

Rate Structure
Tranquilo Golf Club offers a seasonally based rate structure. From 2pm to 4 pm, it is USD 105.00 per player. A special option is the "7 for 77"-guests can enjoy seven holes on the course for USD 77.00. This is an ideal option for a parent who wishes to wake up early and golf before enjoying family time, or for the golfer who wants a quicker golf experience in order to enjoy more of Four Seasons' and the destination's offerings. Turner Classic Movies and Disney Team Up

Features Include New TCM Integration in Theme Park Attraction and On-Air Showcase of Disney Treasures

Turner Classic Movies (TCM) today announced new strategic relationships with Walt Disney World Resort and The Walt Disney Studios to broaden its reach in family entertainment with joint efforts centered on classic film.

At Disney's Hollywood Studios, the "The Great Movie Ride" Attraction highlights some of the most famous film moments in silver screen history and is set to receive a TCM-curated refresh of the pre-show and the finale. TCM branding will be integrated into the attraction's marquee as well as banners, posters and display windows outside the attraction. In the queue line, families will enjoy new digital movie posters and will watch a new pre-ride video with TCM host Robert Osborne providing illuminating insights from the movies some of which guests will experience during the ride. The finale will feature an all-new montage of classic movie moments. After guests exit the attraction, they will have a photo opportunity with a classic movie theme. The TCM-curated refresh is set to launch by spring.

As part of the relationship with The Walt Disney Studios, TCM will launch Treasures from the Disney Vault, a recurring on-air showcase that will include such live-action Disney features as Treasure Island (1950), Darby O'Gill and the Little People (1959) and Pollyanna (1960); animated films like The Three Caballeros (1944) and The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad (1949); classic nature documentaries, including The Living Desert (1953) and The African Lion (1955); made-for-television classics, such as the Davy Crockett series; special episodes from Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color; documentaries about the studio, including Walt & El Grupo (2009) and Waking Sleeping Beauty (2010); and animated shorts, such as 1932's Oscar®-winning "Flowers and Trees."

Treasures from the Disney Vault is scheduled to premiere on TCM Sunday, Dec. 21 at 8 p.m. The opening night will include the holiday and winter animated shorts "Santa's Workshop," "On Ice" and "Chip An' Dale," followed by The Disneyland Story. The night will also include The Reluctant Dragon, Disney's 1941 film that combined a live-action tour of the Walt Disney Studios facility with animated shorts; Davy Crockett, King of the Wild Frontier (1955), a compilation of the first three episodes of the iconic series starring Fess Parker; the Oscar®-winning documentary The Vanishing Prairie (1954), part of Disney's True Life Adventure series; the rarely seen Third Man on the Mountain (1959), an Alpine tale starring Michael Rennie and James MacArthur; and Perilous Assignment (1959), a documentary about the making of Third Man on the Mountain.

"At TCM, it's our mission to share and celebrate the greatest films of all time," said Jennifer Dorian, general manager of TCM. "Disney provides the perfect relationship through which we can share the magic of the movies with every generation, not only through an amazing new showcase on TCM, but also through newly refreshed components of 'The Great Movie Ride' Attraction at Disney's Hollywood Studios."

"We are looking forward to this collaboration, which complements Disney's commitment to telling great stories and immersing our guests in family entertainment," said Tiffany Rende, senior vice president of Disney Corporate Alliances and Operating Participants. "Through this alliance, we are able to share more classic Disney stories with TCM audiences, while further enhancing the guest experience by showcasing TCM content and talent."

This marks an expansion of TCM's already robust relationship with the family entertainment and media enterprise. TCM set sail on its fourth TCM Classic Cruise in October 2014, the second aboard the Disney Cruise Line's Disney Magic. In addition, TCM has collaborated with Buena Vista Home Entertainment on various initiatives, including the 2008 documentary The Age of Believing: The Disney Live-Action Classics, which premiered in conjunction with a 25-movie showcase of family classics. The 2012 TCM Classic Film Festival in Hollywood featured a multi-film collection of Disney classics presented in collaboration with D23, The Official Disney Fan Club. And the 2014 TCM Classic Film Festival featured the 50th Anniversary screening of one of Walt Disney's most successful films Mary Poppins (1964) at Disney's El Capitan Theatre.

Four Seasons Resort Orlando Celebrates its First Festive Season at the Most Magical Place on Earth

This holiday season, for those willing to trade shovels and snow boots for palm trees and infinity pools, the first festive season at Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort is destined to be an unforgettable experience. From a decadent gingerbread display in the lobby to holiday décor throughout the main Resort areas, cooking and mixology classes, and many fun activities in Kids For All Seasons, Four Seasons offers something for everyone this holiday season.

Lobby Décor

The lobby will feature glorious holiday décor in elegant colours of plum and gold, complete with a grand 12-foot (3.7 metre) tall Christmas tree in the lobby, wreaths and columns wrapped with garland, holiday inspired floral arrangements, and more. A gingerbread creation made by Executive Pastry Chef Rabii Saber will be a fun conversation starter, and Resort guests will enjoy complimentary hot cocoa and cider daily from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. The holiday décor will be in place from December 6, 2014 through January 3, 2015.

Sweet Treats

From peppermint bark to gingerbread cookies, and even Executive Chef Fabrizio Schenardi's holiday gelato flavours of chocolate peppermint, cranberry and gingerbread, the holidays are the perfect time to indulge. At The Hideout, ice cream will be offered each afternoon and complimentary cookie decorating with Chef Rabii will be offered to Resort guests on December 23 and 30 and January 2 at 2:00 pm.

Kids For All Seasons

Kids will love the weekly holiday movies, from classics such as The Grinch Who Stole Christmas to Home Alone and Elf, plus making jingle bell necklaces and writing letters to Santa.

Adults Only

The young, and young at heart, surely love classes such as candy making and cookie decorating. But, Four Seasons has not forgotten about those who would love more of an "adult" class - hence the Mixology Classes led by the Resort's team of master mixologists. Additionally, for Resort guests who don't want to miss out on NFL games, during football games the Ravello Bar will turn into the Cigar City Brewery's Fan Cave. Table tennis and other games will be available in Ravello Bar and a themed bar menu will be offered during the games.

Guests will also enjoy playing 18 holes on the picturesque Tranquilo Golf Club or unwinding with a Spa treatment at the 18-treatment room Spa.
