CAPACITY FIELD SET TO FLY AT TINKER BELL HALF MARATHON AT DISNEYLAND THIS WEEKEND

More Than 19,500 Runners Participate in Weekend Races

What: More than 14,000 mostly women runners (2,000 more than 2012) are set to run the Tinker Bell Half Marathon. This popular women-focused race sold out in 29 days. The 13.1-mile course takes runners through Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park and the streets of Anaheim, and features colorful runner costumes, Disney entertainment and characters. Runners completing the race receive their wings with a commemorative Tinker Bell medal.

Race Facts:

— More than 14,000 runners in the half (more than 5,500 runners from SoCal area); 4,500 in the 5K and 1,250 in Kids Races

— In the half 12,459 runners are female, 1,634 are male

— Runners represent all 50 states and 14 countries

— Youngest participants are 14, the oldest is 77

Tinker Bell Half Marathon Health and Fitness Expo (open to the public): Friday and Saturday, January 18 and 19 at Disneyland Hotel

Never Land Family Fun Run 5K and runDisney Kids Races: Saturday, January 19 (5K Starts at 5:45 am, Kids Races at 9 am)

Tinker Bell Half Marathon: Sunday, January 20. Race starts at 5 am.
