Dateline August 25, 2009 – Jackson Hole Wyoming
The Adventure Begins!!!!
Today’s Theme: Wyoming Welcome
The Itinerary
Day One of Quest for the West is arrival day. Since we had a rental car for our “Pre-Stay” we decided to drive it back to the airport and meet up with the Adventures by Disney tour guide there.
From the airport will be head to the Wort Hotel to meet up with fellow adventurers and begin our journey.
“Jackson’s Historic Landmark, The Wort Hotel, is an elegant hotel rich in the history that thrives in the heart of Jackson Hole. Located one half block from the town square, The Wort Hotel is steps from the best boutiques, museums, galleries, restaurants and nightlife, including our own famous Silver Dollar Bar. Providing the charm and intimacy of a world class country inn and the exceptional service of a grand hotel, The Wort Hotel offers comfort and luxury to guests after exhilarating days of exploring nearby Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks.”
Our event for today is the Welcome Reception and Dinner.
We have set up a webcam page of the window view. http://www.mouseworldradio.com/live.htm

HOW TO FOLLOW OUR ADVENTURE!
Once the Adventure by Disney begins on August 25th, there are THREE ways you can follow us! With new social networking, we plan to do something a little different.
TWITTER
There is a program called “Twitpic” that allows one to send photos via a mobile phone directly to Twitter. Mike Newell, Beci Mahnken, and myself will be posting photos “live” via the Twitter network.
Deb Wills: http://twitter.com/AllEarsDeb
Mike Newell: http://twitter.com/MouseWorldRadio
Beci Mahnken: http://twitter.com/beci_mousefan
FACEBOOK
We also have our twitter accounts transmitting automatically to our Facebook accounts. So those of you who are “friends” can follow our adventures that way!
BLOGS
At the same time, AllEars team members Jack Marshall and Debbie Koma will be back home copying our Twitter photos and combining them this daily blog. So, you can follow us either here, on Twitter or on Facebook.
We have been told that there are areas where we will travel that have limited, if any, cell phone service, but we’ll make it up once we get service back.
I hope this provides some cool ways for you to follow us on the adventure of a lifetime, an Adventure by Disney to Wyoming!
I live in Wyoming and am happy you are sharing photos and experiences in our beautiful state. I am puzzled by the comment that precede the pictures “remember, we are on West Coast time”. Wyoming is in the mountain time zone.
I hope you continue to enjoy these two wonderful National Parks!
Hmmm Wort Hotel? isn’t “Wort” the name of young King Arthur in the Sword and the Stone?? kinda funny 🙂 Hope you all have a great time!!! Looking forward to meeting you at the Disneyland meet on Oct 11!!! Barb
Today on the radio they mentioned 5 states that are a great place to live because they are stress free. After seeing your lovely photos I understand why Wyoming is one of those states!
Thank you for sharing.
