Well, here we are at Castaway Cay! It’s a gorgeous day, and we’ve been so busy — there is so much to see! The ship is immense, and we’re taking photos like crazy, but this is the first time we’ve been able to get online. I’m just going to share some random photos for you to whet your appetite… we’ll have much, much more tomorrow!

  1. I was wondering how many lifeboats there are and how many people they hold? I keep looking at them and I can’t see how they can hold all guests and workers.

Deb Koma replies: Teresa, I haven’t counted the lifeboats — but I am SURE that they would not be sailing if they hadn’t
calculated to provide adequate space for everyone on the ship!

  2. Thanks for sharing all the wonderful info! We can’t wait for our cruise in September where we are taking my inlaws on their first cruise and most importantly their first trip to Walt Disney World! My one questions is…. Does the adult pool have hot tubs? Thanks again for ALL that you do!

  3. do all staterooms have hairdryers?

Deb Koma replies: Yes, but you can’t use the hairdryers in the bathroom — it’s a safety issue. The outlet for them is near the desk.

  4. Thank for the cool photos, Deb. I so miss going on a Disney cruise. I am amazed at how beautiful Disney always seems to design such beautiful eye candy in these ships. Every where you look.

  5. Great photos! Going in April. How do you rent a private cabana at Castaway Cay? Thanks! Kelly

Deb Koma replies: You can reserve them when you book
your cruise, or with Guest Services on the ship… or even once you reach Castaway Cay. However, there are only 16 cabanas on the family beach, and 4 at Serenity Bay, so you probably need to book one as soon as you can.

  6. Loving the pics and info. We are down to 5 days until we board and I am beside myself with anticipation! I know I’m more excited than the kids! Keep the pics coming!

  7. The Disney Dream looks amazing. We are traveling in August in the One bedroom suite with veranda. I would love to see some photos!! Thank you! and Have fun!!!

    Hi Lauretta!

Deb Koma replies: Our stateroom was a deluxe ocean view with verandah. Laura Gilbreath put up a lot of photos in her blog yesterday. Please be sure to take a look!
